Press Release

Continued growth and recognition for world-leading global consulting firm, Simon-Kucher

With standout performance from key sectors and regions, the firm also celebrated milestones such as its second year on Forbes' World’s Best Management Consulting Firms and several new leadership appointments

Simon-Kucher announced its 2023 annual revenue of 540.5 million euros (578 million US dollars), a growth rate of 1.5 percent.

In 2023, the firm achieved strong growth in Asia-Pacific and most of Europe in spite of the effects some of the firm’s major markets felt from the fallout across the tech industry. Notably, the firm’s Healthcare sector saw steady growth, while the Consumer and Financial Services sectors experienced double-digit increases. This performance reflects the firm's ability to help clients maintain revenue and profitability in uncertain times. The Transaction Services & Private Equity practice also reported a strong year, establishing the firm as a preferred advisor for growth-driven deals.

Mark Billige, Co-CEO of Simon-Kucher said, “The firm's sustained growth, despite challenging markets, is a testament to the team’s expertise, resilience, and the trust placed in us by our clients. Our messaging is clearly resonating in tough markets, and it was pleasing to see us reach new audiences. With a strong start to 2024, we continue our growth story, which will include further expansion in the Middle East.”

Building a Global Brand and Reputation

For the second consecutive year, Simon-Kucher was recognized on Forbes' list of the World’s Best Management Consulting Firms 2023, and has maintained its position at the top of Vault’s list of the Best Consulting Firms in EMEA for Pricing, Sales, & Marketing Consulting. This recognition comes on the heels of the firm’s first global brand campaign in association with The Wall Street Journal. This campaign drove a double-digit increase in brand awareness and consideration, underscoring the market's resonance with Simon-Kucher's positioning of unlocking better growth.

Commitment to Values and People

In 2023, Simon-Kucher welcomed 14 new Partners and promoted nearly one in four of its staff, underscoring its commitment to creating opportunities and growth for clients and employees.  The firm also appointed new leadership at the start of the new year – Maximilian Biesenbach joined the Board, and regionally, Brad Soper now serves as head of the Americas and Jan Weiser serves as head of APAC. Across its sectors, Martin Crepy now serves as head of Consumer, and Adam Echter and Grigori Bokeria serve as co-heads of Industrials.

Looking Ahead

Dr. Andreas von der Gathen, Co-CEO, commented, “We continue to see significant opportunity to expand our market offer, client base and geographic reach. 2024 is all about us building on that solid foundation and, in times of uncertainty, continuing to guide our clients to unlock better long-term and sustained profitable growth."
