James Hogan is a Senior Director with Simon-Kucher & Partners in the Atlanta office, where he specializes in supporting B2B-driven businesses adapt to an ever more dynamic commercial environment. He has more than 5 years of consulting experience, mostly spanning B2B, B2C, and Technology industries, but also in the Life Sciences and Financial Services industries. Most recently, James has been focusing on building out capabilities and thought leadership in the Chemicals industry in North America, utilizing his commercial strategy expertise as well as leveraging industry knowledge gained from a previous career in start-up and large scale Chemical industry research & development.
James’s areas of expertise include go-to-market strategy, service pricing to differentiate value in commoditized industries, and sales excellence initiatives. James leads MBA recruiting efforts at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and teaches pricing and commercial excellence courses on behalf of Simon-Kucher as well as for 3rd parties such as the Professional Pricing Society.
James has an MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He also holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Southern California and a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame. He has lived and worked from coast to coast in the United States but now calls Atlanta his home, along with his wife and two kids.
