Digitalization in the Publishing Industry
No one disagrees that newspaper and magazine publishers have to address the issue of digitalization. This has been true for a while now, and it will continue to be an important topic for the foreseeable future. But how will they do it? How much progress have publishers already made in their transition from print to digital? What do the product portfolios and paid offers of the world’s most renowned newspapers look like? To answer these questions, we compared the offerings of 85 leading newspapers and business magazines in a total of 26 countries from 2014 and 2018 and analyzed the developments.
