Houston, Texas, August 21, 2018 -- – Registration is now open for the Simon-Kucher & Partners Strategy and Pricing Forum, its fourth such event in the city since 2015, designed for executive leadership and senior management who are engaged in developing growth strategies for companies representing all business-to-business industries. The forum will be held October 4, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis Houston. A discount of $300 is available for forum attendees who register on or before August 30. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Houston Food Bank.

Forum speakers include Jay Verrill, Senior Director of Business Strategy & Analytics, Houston Astros (professional baseball team); Todd Lucey, General Manager, Endress+Hauser (instrumentation, process automation); Patrick Taylor, Global Pricing Leader, Baker Hughes, a GE Company (oil field services); and strategy and pricing experts from Simon-Kucher & Partners.

“In many sectors, particularly oil and gas, markets have become increasingly difficult to predict. Over the last year, strong volatility and unforeseen cost increases have forced many companies to implement short-term pricing actions,” according to Philip Daus, Simon-Kucher’s Houston-based Partner. “However, most price increases fail to meet their targets, with only 1 out of 10 companies routinely achieving the pricing goals they set for themselves. This doesn’t mean creating an attainable long-term pricing strategy is impossible, but success requires a committed effort.”

Topics include:

  • Where Wit Meets Grit: Implementing a New Pricing System Through Sales Agents
  • Competitive B2B Pricing for Complex Systems
  • If You Build It, They Will Come: Using Customer Segmentation to Uncover Market Needs
  • Topline Growth in Volatile Markets: How to Increase Prices Successfully
  • Monetizing and Managing Volatility in a Digital World
