Bhavna is a Senior Consultant in the Life Sciences division and is based out of Simon-Kucher & Partners’ Boston office.
Bhavna’s work at Simon-Kucher focuses on pricing, market access and commercial strategies for drugs and devices primarily in the US, Europe, Canada and India. These include commercial opportunity assessments, competitive launch pricing and market entry strategies, innovative contracting, value story development, and product lifecycle strategies, amongst others. Bhavna advises leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology companies and her work spans a variety of therapeutic areas including neurology, oncology, and rare diseases.
Prior to joining Simon-Kucher, Bhavna was a Postdoctoral Scientist in Neuroendocrinology and Metabolism at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, US) where she identified a protective role for the hormone FGF21 in alcoholic and non-alcoholic liver disease (NASH). Bhavna completed her Ph.D. in Physiology from the Medical College of Georgia (Augusta, US) where she identified a neural pathway essential for weight control. She earned her B.S. and M.S. in Biochemistry from St. Xavier’s College (Mumbai, India) and M.S. University (Baroda, India) respectively, where she researched molecular mechanisms underlying obesity in reproductive disorders. Bhavna is an author on several peer-reviewed scientific publications and has extensive experience in biomedical research.
