Adam Troy currently serves as Intelsat’s Vice President of Yield Management and Sales Operations. In this role, Adam is responsible for Intelsat’s pricing strategy for both wholesale and managed services, leading global sales operations, and setting the strategy for the company’s Business Support Systems which includes the delivery of Intelsat’s digital transformation of its customer resource management and contract lifecycle management systems. With close to 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, he is also responsible for business development and partnerships with other satellite operators.
Adam has been with Intelsat nearly 19 years, beginning with PanAmSat in 2002 as a Sales Operations Analyst, Government Services. He assumed more senior roles and took the position of Intelsat’s Senior Manager, Finance Planning & Analysis Services when PanAmSat merged with Intelsat in 2006. In that position, he led a transformation of the Business Support Systems for Intelsat’s wholly owned government subsidiary, Intelsat General Corporation. He also implemented a new department focusing on maximizing the yields of Intelsat’s satellites through pricing strategies and inventory management.
Since then, Adam has held a number of senior leadership roles at Intelsat, including his most recent past position as Director, Yield Management and Sales Operations. In that role, he led Intelsat’s Financial Planning and Analysis teams for a year in addition to leading his core mission of pricing/yield maximization.
Adam earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a focus in Environmental Studies from Vassar College. Adam currently resides in Washington DC with his wife and 2 daughters. He is also an accomplished musician and enjoys playing basketball and soccer with his kids in his spare time.
