With 36 years of global experience and more than 10 years in Asia-Pacific, Simon-Kucher was proud to host TopLine 2021 APAC, its largest event to take place in APAC to date. TopLine 2021 APAC, a digital, all-industry flagship event, is where forward-looking commercial executives focus on drivers of top-line growth, such as digital strategy, offer and product strategy, pricing, and sales.

This half-day conference, was geared towards professionals looking to develop their revenue base, bring their business model for digital products and services to the next level, monetize their digital products and services more effectively, fortify sustainable profits, and grow an engaged customer base in an increasingly dynamic business environment.

An exciting schedule empowered attendees to share ideas with their peers across markets and to learn about the latest tools and approaches for continued growth. This conference unveiled growth opportunities for a multitude of enterprises and provided insights, methods, and commercial trends rarely shared in a public setting.

Keynote speaker Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Chairman Italo SpA & Former Chairman of Ferrari and FIAT SpA, shared the key factors to growth. Simon-Kucher’s Honorary Chairman and Founder, Hermann Simon, shared insights about Hidden Champions in Asia. There were also exciting breakout sessions with local Simon-Kucher Partners as well as Paul Harvey, Director of Global Foodservice at Fonterra and Vivek Sunder, the CEO of CueMath & Former COO of Swiggy.

Dr. Andreas von der Gathen is CEO of Simon-Kucher & Partners. Before he became CEO on January 1, 2020, he had already been working for Simon-Kucher for more than 20 years as a Partner. He founded and led the global Consumer Goods & Retail practice, specializing in sales organization, product pricing, and brand strategy for national and international clients in all stages of the consumer goods' value chain.

Andreas has carried out many projects with a variety of customers ranging from international and national ingredient suppliers to fast-moving consumer goods companies and retailers. In many of these projects he helped companies to improve their pricing with the ultimate goal of finding ways to increase profits. 

He has written two books on marketing and brand valuation and co-wrote the book Instruments for Strategic Analysis together with Hermann Simon, Simon-Kucher’s founder. He has published numerous articles on pricing, sales, and branding and is a frequent speaker on these issues at conferences and seminars.

Andreas studied business administration and economics at the University of Bochum and received his PhD for his work on brand management, valuation, and controlling.

Christoph Petzoldt is the Managing Partner of Simon-Kucher's Australia/New Zealand operations.

Chris has more than 15 years of management consulting experience across all industries. His work focuses on strategic marketing, portfolio/bundle design and pricing optimization. Chris has conducted more than 80 consulting projects in Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Oceania and South America. Chris is specialized in portfolio optimization, value-based pricing, pricing research, retention and sales execution.

He founded Simon-Kucher’s Australia/New Zealand business in 2011, covering all industries in the region. Before that he was responsible for telecommunications in APAC – a topic that remains his focus.

Chris studied business administration at the University of Kiel, Germany, and at the School of Business and Commercial Law Gothenburg, Sweden. He majored in innovation management and marketing.

Madhavan Ramanujam is a Board member and Partner at Simon-Kucher & Partners based in its San Francisco/ Silicon Valley office. Advising companies of all sizes from Fortune 500s to startups, Madhavan has led more than 125 monetization projects for Internet, Software and Technology clients, helping bring numerous new products to market.

Madhavan is a co-author of the book “Monetizing Innovation: How Smart Companies Design the Product Around the Price”, that has been featured in leading publications including Harvard Business Review, Entrepreneur and Inc. Madhavan is also a regular speaker in leading conferences and forums and has extensively spoken on the topic of new product monetization.

Prior to Simon-Kucher, he worked for i2 Technologies for over six years. At i2 Madhavan managed several consulting projects for Fortune 500 companies that covered areas of promotions, forecasting, inventory management and logistics. Madhavan is an alumni of the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB), Stanford University and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT, Chennai).
