Ben is an experienced successful global brand marketeer and commercial leader who is currently the Chief Marketing Officer of Purple Bricks sitting on the Executive Team charged with helping transform the business and brand.

Prior to joining Purple Bricks, he spent five years at Just Eat working in a number of Senior marketing and strategic roles starting off as UK Marketing Director before being promoted to Managing Director of Just Eat’s Australian business, Menulog where he transformed the business into triple digit YoY revenue growth- firmly establishing it as the country’s second biggest food delivery business. Prior to joining Just Eat, Ben had an impressive track record, building impactful marketing strategies and driving the success of some of the UK’s fastest growing digital brands, including Betfair and Notonthehighstreet.com where he established the brand as a lynchpin of the online retail landscape.

In addition to his role at Purple Bricks, Ben is the Chair of The Lily Foundation (a charity committed to finding a cure for Mitochondrial Disease) and a board member of Women in Football.

Annalise is a Principal at Sapphire Ventures where she focuses on analyzing new investments and assisting portfolio companies, primarily in Europe and Israel. 

She is involved in Sapphire’s investments in Adverity, Contentful, Currencycloud, Matillion, Unmind, and Yapily, and worked on the firm’s investment in Cazoo (NYSE: CZOO) and Wandera (acquired by Jamf). Prior to joining Sapphire, Annalise was an investor at Atomico where she invested in European startups covering the UK market and enterprise sector. Previously, Annalise worked at LinkedIn in the San Francisco, London and Dublin offices where she contributed to corporate M&A, business operations, sales strategy and product finance. 

Annalise holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign service from Georgetown University, studied abroad at Harbin Institute of Technology in China and earned an MBA from Stanford University, where she was an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Fumbi Chima is a senior executive and former CIO. She served as the Global Chief Information Officer at Adidas, and before that she held CIO roles at Fox Networks, Burberry, and Walmart. Fumbi has worked with some of the world’s biggest brands on global IT transformation and digitalisation programmes, bringing together stakeholders, and driving changes in strategy and culture.

At Adidas, Fumbi led a wide-ranging, customer-focused digitalisation project in one of the most high profile and highly competitive consumer sectors. Before joining the sportswear giant Fumbi was at Fox Networks, where she introduced systems and platforms that changed many aspects of what the broadcaster did behind the scenes, from improving the efficiency of advertising billing to integrating the systems of the company’s new owners, Disney. At Burberry and Walmart she was at the forefront of online retail and digitally-driven shifts in marketing and supply chain. She has also been extensively involved in projects that incorporate risk and innovation, as well as culture change, and has led talent retention and alignment schemes.

Alongside her experience leading digital change at large, complex organisations Fumbi is also passionate about diversity, gender and leadership, and the vital intersection of all three in modern organisations. Born in Nigeria and raised in the UK, Fumbi holds US and UK citizenship. She has worked and has familiy in the US, has worked in Asia, and now resides in Germany, giving her a truly international, multicultural perspective on business and society.

Fumbi has served on numerous boards including the advisory boards of business software providers SAP and Appito. She is on the board of Africa Prudential, a leading digital solutions businesss in West Africa, and of the AZEK Company, pioneers in the world of sustainable and innovative building materials. She is also on the boards of Women at Risk International Foundation, and Women Corporate Directors.

As a Director, Maria is responsible for developing Inflexion’s approach to repeatable value creation strategies focused on commercial strategy. This includes pricing, proposition, and sales effectiveness. She provides support to the investment team on pre-deal due diligence and works with chairmen and management teams on commercial and sales initiatives to accelerate growth across portfolio companies.

Before joining Inflexion in 2020, Maria spent three years at HgCapital in a similar role, working with management and investment teams on value creation strategies across the investment life cycle, focusing on top-line growth. Prior to this Maria spent ten years in London and New York at Simon-Kucher & Partners, a global strategy consulting firm known as the world leader in pricing.

Maria is from Sweden and loves to travel. You can find her exploring new places through food, art and architecture. Her recent favourites include hiking in the American Southwest and learning to snowboard.

She holds a BSc in Economics from Bocconi University, and an MSc in Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
