Mariana Torgal is a consultant in the Life Sciences Division of Simon-Kucher & Partners. She started working at the company’s office in Madrid, Spain, in 2012 and is currently located in the Boston office.
Since joining Simon-Kucher, Mariana has gained experience in working with several of the worlds leading pharmaceutical companies developing strategies for pricing and market access of both new and existing products on the market. Mariana’s consulting experience includes qualitative and quantitative market access studies, product positioning, international pricing strategies, and organizational effectiveness.
Through her projects, Mariana has gained broad experience in the healthcare systems of various countries, namely in Spain, Portugal and Latin American markets. She worked in functional design at corporate level, as well as in product-specific projects in a broad range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, diabetes, immunology and several orphan indications.
Prior to joining SKP, Mariana completed her studies in Economics and International Management, completing her masters’ project work at Richard Ivey Business School in London-Ontario, Canada, where she supported a healthcare services company develop its internationalization strategy. Mariana earned her double-masters degree in International Management from CEMS and her BS in Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, Portugal.
