Monetizing Telecommunication Services
Telecommunications companies have added 5G, FTTH, edge computing, and many more services to their portfolios. At the same time, the introduction of unlimited tariffs in most markets has limited the effectiveness of “more for more” and “more for same” monetization strategies (more data for the same or a slightly higher price). And while telecommunications is one of the few industries that’s been less impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, the pandemic has changed how customers value the services provided. Over the last year, the importance of price as a purchase driver has decreased between 5–10 percent across European markets, while customer service, network quality, and speed have become even more significant.
This conference will explore how, in light of recent events, telecommunications companies can leverage trends and respond to challenges by using innovative pricing, sales, and marketing approaches.
