Torben is a Partner in Simon-Kucher’s London office, where he leads the firm’s work with business and professional services clients in the UK.
He has over 10 years of experience in commercial excellence, growth strategy, and monetisation. Torben is also a trusted advisor on the sustainable management of transformation and behavioural change in decentralised B2B service organisations, having supported leading partner-based firms in executing large-scale commercial transformations.
His project work focuses on the development and implementation of growth and commercial excellence strategies, with a particular emphasis on pricing, including price model design, price guidance, and price increase campaigns. He has worked across a broad range of business and professional services sectors, including law firms, accounting and assurance, tax and advisory services, as well as field services, testing, inspection and certification, and IT services.
Torben earned degrees from the University of Oxford, the University of St Andrews, and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management (Germany). He has co-authored several studies, with a particular research focus on commercial transformation in professional services in light of generative AI, and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
