Simon-Kucher Appoints Seven New Partners in the Life Sciences Sector and Expands Thought Leadership

The Healthcare and Life Sciences division at consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners continues to grow: By announcing seven new partners, the international team increases its presence in several healthcare subsectors around the globe.

Jan. 13, 2021 – The global strategy and marketing consultancy Simon-Kucher & Partners has elected seven new partners in its Healthcare and Life Sciences practice from Europe, the USA, and Asia. Now with a total of 41 partners, the division advises companies in multiple healthcare subsectors, including pharmaceutical and biotech, healthtech, and consumer health. Jörg Krütten, Global Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Simon-Kucher, is excited about the developments: “We are super proud to welcome seven true industry and subject-matter experts and great personalities to our global Healthcare and Life Sciences partnership. Stephen Dunbar leads Simon-Kucher’s Life Sciences division in Chicago, USA. He focuses on advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies, with a particular focus on the US market. While working across a wide range of therapeutic areas, he has developed a special interest in oncology, immunology, and infectious diseases. In addition, Stephen has supported leading animal health and healthtech companies in developing pricing and promotional strategies for therapeutic and clinical innovations. He brings in-depth expertise on US healthcare policy and quantitative modeling.

Bruce Liu leads Simon-Kucher’s fast growing Life Sciences division in Greater China. Bruce has over 20 years of experience in the industry, and the central theme of his work has been on topline growth and innovations. Bruce has been working closely with pharmaceutical majors, biotechnology and health technology companies on key strategic issues, ranging from corporate strategy and scenario planning, to research and development and portfolio planning, as well as launch excellence, pricing & market access, commercial excellence, and organization transformations. Bruce is recognized for his in-depth industry expertise and China insights, and has been helping both multinationals and leading Chinese companies develop actionable strategies with long-lasting impacts.

Andy Ong, based out of the company’s San Francisco office, focuses on US market access, pricing and contracting, as well as payer account negotiation strategies. He also deals with value communication and global value, access, and pricing strategies for new and established therapies and technologies. Covering a range of specialty and primary care therapeutic areas, including allergy and immunology, infectious diseases, neurology, oncology, orphan indications, and cell and gene therapy, he works with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthtech companies from the Americas to Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Stefano Pilli is managing director of Simon-Kucher’s Italian office in Milan. His activities focus on the development of global pricing and market access strategies for pharmaceuticals and biotechnology products. Stefano is also an expert on the Italian healthcare system and provides his support to global companies and local affiliates in preparing country-specific market access strategies and price negotiations with payers. He has successfully managed global pricing and market access programs across a wide range of therapeutic areas and brings specific expertise in market access strategies for vaccines.

Dominic Seitz is a partner in Simon-Kucher’s Life Sciences division in Frankfurt, Germany. He helps developing and driving strategic launch and lifecycle product and portfolio strategies for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. That includes launch planning, go-to-market, P&MA, customer segmentation, scenario planning, innovative financing and payment models, price negotiation, launch sequence optimization, and value communication strategies across a wide range of specialty and primary care products. Dominic supports his clients on both European and international business issues, drawing from his experience in key European and more than 20 global markets, including emerging markets.

Graham Tatham, located in London, is part of Simon-Kucher’s UK Life Sciences leadership and focuses on supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients as well as global clients in the animal health space. Furthermore, he brings experience in working for leading multinationals in the generic pharmaceuticals and healthtech space. Graham focuses on developing international pricing and market access as well as lifecycle management strategies. Graham has worked across a wide variety of therapeutic areas and technologies and serves as a UK market expert. By jointly leading Simon-Kucher’s global capabilities in animal health, he helps clients with new product and portfolio pricing strategies, precision livestock farming (PFL) monetization and commercial trade term optimization.

Jörg Tritschler, based in the Zurich office in Switzerland, specializes in international pricing and market access of pharmaceuticals and commercial excellence. His project work focuses on international pricing and market access and emerging market strategies, innovative contracting models, early market access (roadmap) planning and payer-rationalized trial design optimization. Additionally, Jörg covers commercial product lifecycle management and portfolio development strategies as well as value communication. His expertise helps major life sciences clients, midsize companies, and international startups across a wide variety of therapeutic areas and indications, including oncology, (ultra) orphan diseases, cell and gene therapy, and chronic diseases.
