Simon-Kucher Recognized by Travel Smart As One Of the Top 20% Global Companies for Sustainable Business Travel

The global consultancy also emerged as one of only two companies in Germany to demonstrate clear reduction goals, achieving a B rating from the global campaign Travel Smart led by Transport & Environment, Europe's top NGO for cleaner transport.

March 20, 2024 – Simon-Kucher has been recognized by Travel Smart for its commitment to reducing and reporting corporate air travel emissions, achieving a B rating. The consultancy improved its rating compared to the previous year by introducing more ambitious goals to reduce their business travel, anticipating a reduction of 25 percent by 2030. 

The 2024 Travel Smart Ranking evaluates global companies' efforts to reduce corporate air travel emissions, assessing their commitment, emissions, and reporting. Ratings range from scores of A to D. The ranking reveals that of the 328 global companies evaluated, only 57 companies have set targets to reduce business travel emissions. Simon-Kucher distinguished itself among these companies by demonstrating a clear dedication to reducing aviation's environmental impact and travel emissions, securing a position in the top 20%. This achievement follows recognition earlier this year as a frontrunner in the Rail First assessment, leading the way through a proactive shift to rail travel.
