Istanbul, May 21, 2025 – Simon-Kucher, the world’s leading commercial growth and pricing consultancy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tunc Akyurt as Partner in its Istanbul office. Akyurt will lead the firm’s Financial Services and Fintech practice in Turkey.
Akyurt brings broad international experience in banking, fintech, insurance, and wealth and asset management, having worked across Turkey, the US, EMEA, and Asia. He has advised both global and local clients on customer, product, and market strategies, as well as pricing, commercial strategy, and revenue management. Known for his technical expertise and hands-on leadership, Akyurt focuses on driving innovation and sustainable growth across financial services.
Akyurt is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in banking, having held C-level roles such as Group Head of Retail Banking, Chief Strategy Officer, and CEO Advisor. He has led major initiatives in strategy, CRM, marketing, product development, innovation, and digital transformation. His consulting background includes managing complex, multi-regional projects and holding senior leadership positions, including Group CEO of a multinational financial services firm and CEO of a digital tech company. Most recently, he advised a neobank on product strategy, growth, marketing, and international expansion
Akyurt holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University, an MSc in Management Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, and an executive certificate in Business Model Innovation from Wharton Business School.
